Q [Qualifications] Can foreign nationals living in Korea apply?

AAs the research fund is given to Korean nationals living in Korea, they cannot. Also, Korean nationals living overseas cannot apply either.

Q [Qualifications] If researchers are not affiliated with any organization, they cannot apply?

ARight. Only those researchers affiliated with domestic universities, academic societies and research institutions can apply.

Q [Qualifications] Is there any age limit?

ANo. Science and Technology Awards are given to researchers for their performance throughout their life.

Q [Qualifications] I am participating as a reviewer of the foundation. Can I apply?

AAs long as you are a reviewer, you cannot apply.

Q [Review] Who are the reviewers?

AThey include great scholars in Korea, and foundation officials will not participate in the review.

Q [Review] What is the difference between primary and secondary review?

AThe primary review is done for individual areas, and the secondary review is a comprehensive review based on the result of the primary review.

Q [Review] Are the review results and rankings disclosed?

ANo, they are not.

Q [Review] Can I object to review results?

AWe don’t receive objections to review results.
